PHOENIX MATACHEWAN MINES INC. (TSX-V: PMM) PATRICIAN DIAMONDS INC. (TSX-V: PXC) McNEICE APPOINTED CFO

(Ottawa, ON): Phoenix Matachewan Mines Inc. and Patrician Diamonds Inc. announced today that John McNeice, CA, CPA (Illinois), has been appointed Chief Financial Officer for both companies. Mr. McNeice currently acts as a financial consultant to emerging private and junior public companies. Mr. McNeice has 13 years of public accounting experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he specialized in servicing private and public technology and life science companies. Mr. McNeice is both a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant (Illinois). Mr. McNeice replaces Douglas Perkins, who is also CFO of Orezone Resources Inc. (TSX: OZN), of Ottawa. Orezone's continued success has meant that Mr. Perkins could no longer devote the required time to Phoenix and Patrician. The Directors of both companies have appreciated Mr. Perkins excellent efforts to bring the accounting and reporting systems into line with the new requirements.
